This Privacy Policy explains how BlueSpot ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use the iOS application. In summary: BlueSpot does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

1. Data we collect

We do not collect any personal data through the app. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• Account credentials (the app has no account system)
• Precise or approximate location (the app does not use location services)
• Contacts, photos, calendar, or other device content
• Advertising identifiers or device identifiers
• Analytics, telemetry, crash logs, or usage metrics
• Payment or financial information

2. How Bluetooth is used

The app uses your device's Bluetooth to scan for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals. For each detected signal, the app reads information that Bluetooth peripherals broadcast publicly (such as an advertised name and the received signal strength) and uses it to estimate proximity.

All Bluetooth data is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded, synced, backed up, or transmitted to us or any third party. The app makes no network requests.

3. Local storage on your device

The app stores a small amount of preference data (such as alert thresholds) on your device using iOS system storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device.

4. Third parties

The app does not share data with any third party. It does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or backend service.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because we do not collect or store any personal data, there is no data for us to retain or delete. Preference data stored locally on your device is removed automatically when you uninstall the app or reset your device.

6. Your rights

Residents of jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and California have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data a company holds about them. Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or port on your behalf. You may exercise full control over app-related data on your device by uninstalling the app.

7. Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because it does not collect personal information from anyone, it is suitable for users of all ages.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this URL before the change takes effect.
